You only need 70 stars to comlete the game, but there is still 17= stars for you to collect which trust me, so far it's been so hard my heart practically was 130 beats per min when I was nearly finishing completing a star. Yesterday I just completed one of the hardest level in my life, collecting 100 purple coins on rotating platforms with lots of enemies in my path and even a 2 minute timer! Until when I found out I still needed 6 stars to progress in the game. It even has Yoshi in this game! It's so cool! The main story might not be very hard to complete, but when you unlock the star world there is a whole new task for you to do. And thee are millions of easter eggs of differnet Mario games such as two levels based on super mario sunshine, one remaked level from super mario 64. It even has a cool new world map that works so well. Sadly, the storyline was that great, but the quirky level design makes up for it. Nintendo did an amazing job for beautiful graphics, even if the wii wasn't HD. This classic game is amazing and would recommend for all ages. There are tons of spherical planets that you platform on, and it gets kinda confusing :>įun 10/10 - It's really addicting, what can I say? :PĪll in all, this definitely one of the greatest games ever. ALSO: If you get dizzy easily, this game is not for you. While this is very mild and you barely can feel it, just be warned. You need to use an ability called "spin" a lot, that requires a flick of the Wii remote. This game utilizes the motion controls, and (surprise surprise) they don't SUCK! WARNING: Make sure you have a strong wrist before playing this game. There are also TONS of unique gimmicks in the game, that'll have you playing for hours. You'll find yourself platforming on the underside of planets, or switching gravity by spinning a switch. And that's what makes the Mario Galaxy games stand out. Gameplay- 10/10 Since the game is set in space, of course you can expect some different gravity. If you have the original Wii version, just bear with it. But if you're playing this in the 3d All-Stars collection, then yes, it is HD. I wouldn't recommend this, as the graphics are playable enough. However, the graphics ARE NOT HD unless you get a texture pack. The cutscenes in this aren't as good as Galaxy 1, but good enough. Graphics and Animation- 9/10 The graphics in this 3d platformer are just awesome!!! The color scheme is great, and the designs of everything really make you feel like you're exploring the universe. And each piece matches right up with the level. You'll find yourself humming the songs well after you finish playing. And Koji Kondo (idk if that's right) really sinks the music with the player, creating an unforgettable piece, even 11 years later. The orchestra just makes the game more epic. Music- 10/10 If you haven't heard this soundtrack, then you really need to listen to it right NOW. While you only need 70 stars to go there, there are 242 stars in total. Once you get enough power stars, you can go to the center of the universe with your ship to beat up Bowser. (You get a power star at the end of each level). He has a ship, and it runs on "power star" energy. I mean, it makes you feel like the hero of the universe! Who wouldn't love that? Anyway, you get help from a cute star creature called a Luma, and off you go into the universe! After you beat level 1, you meet another Luma named Lubba. But even if it is mostly the same plot, you've got to love it.
This could be a little scary for kids, as my little brother actually thought our universe was ruled by a giant spiked turtle (eye roll). The twist is, he's building an empire in the center of the universes.
What I mean is that it's the same plot as any other Mario game, Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach. Plot- 9/10 As much as I love the Galaxy franchise, I have to say that the plot for 2 was really a mirror for 1.
